I'm sorry all, I rebooted the server once more and this time did nothing to
it but ran ovstatus every 15 minutes, the services finally started. Why did
they take so long to start? I have no idea, but it's up and running.
I have looked at the log files and can't see anything that was odd.
Thanks

Subject: RE: [NV-L] ovspmd not registered
We are running Netview v6.0.1 on Solaris 8 and it has been installed for 2
months and running fine.
Tis morning I came in and Netview was not discovering. I shut down Netview
with ovstop and then rebooted the server. Once the server came back up, I
tried ovstatus and I received the following message:
Ovspmd is not running
So I tried to use ovstart to start the ovspmd deamon and then I got the
following message:
Ovspmd: Object manager ovspmd is not registered
I then rebooted and tried the same thing but got the same results.
Any ideas before I call IBM?
