Try looking in the object database also:
ovobjprint > ovobj.txt
then vi / grep on the ip address and the associated hostname to look for
clues.
Netview won't add duplicate IP address' into its databases.

You can also format the trap for duplicates that Netview finds:

$3
EXEC echo " $(date "+%Y/%m/%d %H.%M.%S"): $1: $2: $3: $4: $5" >>
/home/root/duplicate_ip.log

You have a duplicate IP address I would suspect. Netmon is deleting it when
discovery polls the "other" device. Just a guess on my part.

Subject: [NV-L] Netmon Deleting Nodes

Hi All,
I have an issue where I add a router to the netview map and place
it in its appropriate location bucket and then it disappears. I look in
netmon.trace and there is nothing. I look in trapd.log and I get N Node
Deleted. I then do a locate and it is not found in any map. I do an
ovtopodump -l and it is not found. I ping and snmpwalk the device with
success and then do a netmon -y and netview rediscovers it and then netmon
deletes it again.. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.....
