What ever you set on the default line should be honored for all
other entries for which nothing is set. Are you finding that to not
be the case? The node down delete interval field is blank by default,
which defaults to 7 days. You can type something else in there.
Or have you made the mistake of typing something in there, and
then carrying the entries from all fields in the default line into every
entry, and now you want to change them?
When I run across that, I export, edit, and import. This can backfire, but
will work if you are careful AND if you have not had name resolution
problems.
See the man page for xnmsnmpconf. And save a backup of the
original export. Warning: when you import, the entries will
be checked for name resolution and the import will fail at
the first error. And they are not imported in the order you
expect, so debugging it is hard. So before you make any
changes, run a check to make sure all of the names
resolve. And while you are at it, you might go ahead and
remove any other values that match the entries on the default
record, so you can more easily change those later, too.

Is there a way to change the Node Down Delete Interval across the board for
all of the configurations in the SNMP Configuration portion of the GUI? Is
there a conf file that can be edited? We have too many different listings
in
our SNMP Configuration to do it manually through the GUI.
Thanks,
Scott
