Scott -
Read that entry again.  I have attached it here as an .asp file you can open with IE.  The perfmib stuff was shipped on NT at the SP 4 level and earlier.  It is not shipped on Win2K and is not supported by MS any longer. The thing also notes that you might want to use the HOSTS MIB instead.  That's been discussed here recently -- it's part of rfc2790.  Don't know how well it works.  Personally I think the whole MS user community should complain to the Justice Department about MS's lack of consistent support for SNMP, but then I am obviously biased, since we make an SNMP manager.

Anyone using SNMP on Win2K maybe answer a question?

The Microsoft Knowledge base article on SNMP under windows 2000 states that you must copy the PERFMIB.DLL and PERFMIB.ini to the %system32% directory.

This file does NOT exist that I can find. How does one make a PERFMIB.DLL?

I am assuming, that since the file does not exist, there must be some compile / build process our LAN guys don't know.

Any help?
