Ferenc,
I see you are running on Solaris. I suspect you have Solaris AnswerBook
running? AnswerBook uses the same port (8888) as ovtopmd so will cause
the failure you are seeing.
The solution is to stop all AnswerBook processes. Run the cleanup
script in the CD TOOLS directory, as suggested. Then try to install
NetView again.
You cannot change the ovtopmd port from 8888 but you can change
AnswerBook easily by editing /usr/lib/ab2/dweb/data/config/dwhttpd.cfg.
