Restore the trapd.conf. If you did not save a copy, do a find - the
original
is stored down under newconfig somewhere.
Then read up on Netview rulesets. It easy and it works, and there is a
lot of coverage of the topic in the archives of this forum, at

Ok,
I was trying to filter out the unneccesary traps and focusing solely on
node
up and node down events that supposed to be going to my TEC.
I tried using the rules within Netview to do so but still got a flood of
traps. So I went to trapd.conf and removed the trap we dont want to see.
Now
I am not seeing any sort of traps either in netview or at the TEC.
Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong??
