Whether a trap is forwarded or not is controlled by the ruleset loaded by
nvserverd, and is configured through smit, or just edit the file
tecint.conf. The
information in trapd.conf is only used in creating a TEC event from the
trap, and
if you take that out, then a default attribute mapping is used and the trap
still goes,
if it passes the ruleset. I'd give the rules another try -- that is the
only way to
filter the traps out. Create an NV ruleset shoud be something like this -
a pizza node with
a default of block, then "event attributes" for a node-up specific going to
a "forward",
and likewise for the node-down. After you change tecint.conf to point to
your ruleset,
restart nvserverd.
