Santosh, as I said, what you are describing is impossible.
Therefore you must be doing or thinking something different
from what I understand you to be describing. Now I will try my
telepathy act.
How many maps do you have (look under File.. Open Map).
Which map is up, r/w, on the server? the default? (lower left
corner is labeled.) Anything you drill into on that map is a submap.
Automatic layout can be turned on or off for each submap. You
have turned it off for the top level (IP Internet), you say, and have
arranged these. Within one of those locations, have you turned off
automatic layout? And have you arranged them? If you have
arranged them, I assume you must have turned automatic
layout off for those submaps as well. But maybe you have
not. Only turn it off in the submaps you plan to arrange.
Now on the web client, did you have a choice of maps
to open? You will be given a choice if there is more than
one map running on the server. If you have the customized
map (default?) open on the server and are given no choice
of maps to look at from the web, then you are definitely
looking at the same map. Drill into the same location icon
at the server and at the web client. They must look the
same, except that the icons on the web client view will
be closer together and may overlap a little. What is on
the left in one will be on the left in the other. I think you are
saying that this is not true, and I think that is impossible.
On the server, drag something way off to the left. Watch
it move on the client. It should move after a few seconds.

Hi Les,
My Submap which I am looking at is set for Auto layout Off only difference
is that my Customized submap which is at Top level looks similar to the
customization I had done, but the submaps below that get messed up. Is
there any way to get them look same as that of my customization.

Santosh

If you have automatic layout turned off on a particular submap, then
the web client will show it in the same relative arrangement as the
server does. If it does not, then you must be looking at a different
map with the web client than you are with the server.
The distances are still a problem, however, and the sizes of the
icons. There are menu picks on the web client for large and small
icons, but I have not gotten them to do anything. However, you might
find it helpful to set up both interfaces side by side and arrange the
symbols on the server until it looks good on the client. Stretch them
way far apart. I don't think you can get it to look really good on
both interfaces at the same time.

Hi,
Have 7.1.12 on SOlaris 2.7
My customized Maps are as per geographic locations and there are some
submaps within those Maps which are again customized, they are in Auto
layout Off mode. This looks good through X- Emulation from desktop, but
Once I open the Customized Map from Web Console all my customization goes
lost and the Objects are place here and ther all the links are over lapped.
Is there any way to get the customized maps and submaps to have auto layout
off and see as per customization.
Thanx in Advance
Regards,
Santosh
