Well, I am an idiot. I stuck my neck out here based on my reading of the
7.1.2 Release Notes and code work I knew was done, but I got it wrong.

It turns out that development ported the Cisco Integration adapter from
Solaris/AIX to Linux when we did the Linux port for NetView V7.1.
Unfortunately, what we didn't know (and didn't think to ask) was that
Cisco itself does not support CiscoWorks on Linux. The result is that our
integration utility is worthless - there is nothing to integrate with.
However, if Cisco ever does do that port (and we have been told that there
are no plans to do so), we can support it - but until then, it is all
vaporware. In other words, there is no support for CiscoWorks on Linux,
and, therefore, no support for CiscoWorks integration on any version of
NetView Linux.

Mea culpa and my apologies to all.

5.The following functionality has not been included in the Linux Intel
platform release of Tivoli NetView for UNIX Version 7.1.1.

a.Agent Policy Manager (APM), C5eui, and MLM (Linux will have
limited support for remote MLM configuration).

b.Tralertd and Spappld (the preferred method is to use MSM/IP and
trap forwarding).

        c.MLM.

d.Native Client Support (the Java Console is replacing the native
client mechanism).

e.XMP API support (for CMIP and CMOT applications)

f.RIM Database Support (there will be no support for TME RIM).

g.TME Installation (Linux installation will always be Framework
independent).

h.Tivoli Integration Pack for NetView (TIPN supports integration
with TME Framework components).

        i.Backup Manager.

j.Cisco Integration Adapters (The Cisco integration utility is not

currently supported on Linux).

For 7.1.2 the Cisco Integration Utility IS supported -- item j is removed
from the list.

I'm curious on the feature aspect. The web pages don't seem to go
into any detail on it. I recall some discussion of certain apsects
of NetView that aren't part of the Linux offering.

Can anyone recap those? Or am I mistaken?

There is no MLM under linux if I recall correctly. But I think there
were other things. TIA for anyone who can shed light.
