I don't see a response to this and you have probably figured it
out by now, but for the record:
Your netviewd daemon has the NetView_WEBview map read-only. So
that map itself is never updated except for status. The web client users
have a view of a r/o map. You probably should let netviewd have its
map r/w. Users will see it in the list of maps with the designation R/W.
This does not mean that they will have r/w access if they choose it,
only that they will be looking at a r/w map. A r/o view of a r/w map, if
you will. This will work well for monitoring things like changing smartset
membership, which requires a r/w map. You will still have to take the
r/w map away from netviewd from time to time to put things away,
unless your location.conf file is well set up to do that automatically.

View Refresh
AM
I'm having trouble understanding why my WEB Console view is not refreshing.
I copied my default map to a map called NetView_WEBview.
I then altered the file /usr/OV/lrf/netviewd.lrf to contain the command
-ro, -map NetView_WEBview
Then I executed the following commands:
ovaddobj /usr/OV/netviewd.lrf
ovstart netviewd
When I open the WEB console I see in the list of available maps:
NetView_WEBview Read-Only
as expected.
If the netview configuration changes, the maps on the system console get
updated if they are open Read-Write, or get updated if I refresh them when
open Read-Only. However, the WEB console view does not change, the refresh
Icon is dimmed, and the command Submap, Refresh Data is greyed out.
The only way I have found to refresh the map is to execute the following
commands:
ovstop netviewd
ovstart netviewd
