I've worked around this one by using an I flag in the oid_to_type. I did notice a post that mentioned something about a strangely formatted AT mib table from cabletron devices & others that mentioned exactly the same process of them being ok using icmp & vanishing as soon as they are switched on to snmp. They're happy now though ;-)
