Hello List:

Nv 7.1.3, AIX 4.3.3

I have some problems to monitor some AIX devices, below is the netmon.trace
log

In the first Quick test, all interfaces shows up but SNMP sends a request
time out, then the object device gets RED.
In the second quick test, all interfaces looks down, if I use the Ping
option I receive response, so the interfaces are not really down, but the
SNMP status looks fine, so the object device comes GREEN.
As you can see I ran the quick tests at almost the same time.

I added in the seed file three interfaces to be monitored via SNMP for a
router that Netview cannot ping the WAN interfaces.

1) Do you know why the quick test option uses now the SNMP for status
monitoring???
Before it used only ping to check device status
2) Why if the interfaces are UP, the quick test shows they as down, but
the device object is GREEN???

I hope you can help me to solve this problem.

Thanks. Regards.
