Hi all,

my environement is
aix 4.3.3
Netview 7.1.3 with fixpack 1
Cisco routers network

I tried to manage ISDN backup interfaces following manuals instructions,
putting an entry in seed file like +172.28.*.*. What happens is that
netview shows these interfaces in the correct state of user1 when they are
not active but when a backup inetrface goes up netview is not able to
understand it. So no dialer up event arrives and the interface state
remains user1. I tested cisco routers with different IOS release (11.2,
12.1, 12.2) obtaining the same behaviour.
The strange thing is that using MIB Browser I noticed that when the isdn
interface is not active the value of mib ifoperstatus is "dormant" like I
expect but when it is active ifoperstatus remains dormant, and not up.

Any suggestion?

thanks
