The change to SNMP polling affects the entire node. Make sure that Netview
knows the correct community for that node, by the name it was discovered
by. Try this at the commandline:
    xnmsnmpconf -resolve <selection name>
xnmsnmpconf -resolve <various addresses on the device>
If necessary, add explicit entries to the SNMP configuration dialog
Test...demandpoll the node.
You should be able to get the whole node to turn green if all interfaces
are really up.

Cordially,

Hello List:

I have a problem for monitoring a CSS device, it has several interfaces
and only one cannot be reached by Netview using ICMP, that's why the device
is yellow all the time.
The actual status of this interface is up, for some firewall or security
reason netview cannot ping it, then I configured netmon.seed to monitor
this interface using SNMP(only this interface), and now the problem is that
the device is in unreachable status, all the interfaces changed to white
color, even all these that can be reached by ICMP.
I won't like to set to unmanage the interface.

Any comments or ideas???

AIX 4.3.3, Netview 7.1.3

Thanks. Regards.
