While
this problem has been solved, i am having difficulty in getting the event
description field for the traps in the event browser to display all the
variables in the name-type-value format. Basically, i set the event description
field in the properties for the trap as follows.
Trap
received from arcsight with $# args: $*.
This
seems to have updated the entry for the trap in the trapd.conf. I have stoped
and restarted all the daemons, but yet the Description field for the trap int he
event browser complains "Trap found with no known format in
trapd.conf[4].
How do
i fix this problem?
Thanks
Girish
