All I can do is try :-)  I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for the advice.

Why not just try it?

Or did you already?

As you noted before, this is not supported by the GUI, but then neither are wildcards.

I'm afraid I don't have time to do it myself, nor spend the afternoon looking thru the code trying to determine whether it is fully supported or not, but I can tell you that I have seen customer filter files with entries in them like this:

RuleContent=!((CLASS=1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.3 && ((SNMP_SPECIFIC=1001) || (SNMP_SPECIFIC=1002) || (SNMP_SPECIFIC=1003)

|| (SNMP_SPECIFIC=1004) || (SNMP_SPECIFIC=58916871)))) && !((IP_ADDR=22.[0-9].15[0-2].*)

|| (IP_ADDR=22.[0-9][0-9].15[0-2].*) || (IP_ADDR=22.[0-9][0-9][0-9].15[0-2].*) ||

(IP_ADDR=22.[0-9].5[0-4].*) || (IP_ADDR=22.[0-9][0-9].5[0-4].*) || (IP_ADDR=22.[0-9][0-9][0-9].5[0-4].*)

|| (IP_ADDR=22.[0-9].5[6-9].*) || (IP_ADDR=22.[0-9][0-9].5[6-9].*) || (IP_ADDR=22.[0-9][0-9][0-9].5[6-9].*))

Whether this works well or not, that I cannot tell you.   But you ought to be able to come up with a simpler test case.

I'm trying to filter by specific ranges, and not wildcard networks.  This is due to our networks being split by location, and I would like to create filter accordingly.  Is that possible?

Thanks
