You know, I cannot remember the last time I used the filter tool other than for a quick 'show me everything but the Agent traps' events display. I'll bet this functionality has been pretty much ignored since the Ruleset capability was introduced. What problem are you trying to solve? Someone will probably have alternative suggestions if it turns out that your current approach is not workable. Cordially, Leslie A. Clark IBM Global Services - Systems Mgmt & Networking Detroit
Quick Question Folks: Can we use ranges in the creation of filter files (ie. 192.168.1.1-254)? I do know wildcards are acceptable, and the GUI filter creation tool only allows single and wildcard IP's, but can IP ranges be entered manually? Is this a GUI limitation, or is there no support for IP ranges and filter files? Thanks -Milt Milton W.
