Your other post indicates that you have NetView 7.1.4 running on AIX.
The documentation for every NetView internal event is found in the Appendix to the NetView Administrator's Guide, which is shipped in the books component (you did install the books didn't you?) both in PDF (Adobe format) and HTML.

Alternatively, you could dit trapd.conf using xnmtrap for any event you are interested in and change the Log Message to say
"$*" rather than, or in addition to the usual "$3" and then the event will display with all the variables listed and formatted so that it is easy to see which ones you want. This works for all events, even the non-NetView ones.

Hi,

At present i not able to intergrate wioth TEC. So i involved in generating alert from
NetView directing using sendmail utility. How to get the Interface IP address from the
NetView event.

Please help us ASAP...
