Carlos,

Here is a list of unusual ideas that could cause the unusual icon status that you have.

did another person change the IP address of the server since NetView was installed? i.e. does 'ifconfig' agree with the ip address you see in NetView interface object?

did this NetView database get copied from to this server from another NetView? Have you shut down NetView and tried a reset_ci command?

did you ever have an issue where the filesystem that contains /usr/OV/databases was almost full? do you have a corrupted database due to that reason?

Are you running a firewall on your NetView server? If so, is netmon and others authorized applications for talking to itself?
