What's in the mgragent.log? That should tell you whether you have SNMP/SMUX errors or not. If it's too confusing or old, wipe it out and try to start the daemon again. James Shanks Level 3 Support for Tivoli NetView for UNIX and Windows Tivoli Software / IBM Software Group
