In addition to Francois's excellent answer, you can configure TRAPs to convert to any TEC class that you like. The default is TEC_ITS_BASE if you don't specify. You can use any existing TEC class already defined to your TEC Server or you can create your own TEC classes - if you do the latter, you also need to do the corresponding piece of work on your TEC Server to create matching class definitions in a baroc file and import them into the active rulebase.

Cheers,
Jane

Hi list,

My environment is NetView for AIX 7.1.4 running on a AIX 5.2 box. This box
is also a ManagedNode from Framework 4.1.1.

Is there any way to configure NetView to send events to TEC only from
objects belonging to one or more Smartsets ?

Also, how can I choose the classes that I want to have events sent to TEC
?

Thanks.

Mario
