Dave,
Do a ping of the device and see what your trip times are, then make
sure your discovery/polling timeout value is greater than that. What appears
to be a successful snmpwalk from the command line, can be a failure to the
system because of timing.

Subject: [nv-l] Discovery Issue

Hi All,
Im having an issue with discovering new devices. I put device IP
in seed file and do netmon -y and nothing is discovered. I am able to ping
and snmpwalk the device. Some devices have been discovered but it appears
discovery has come to a stop. I have verified my cache setting is good.
Netmon is setup to use the seedfile. What else could be the issue. Thanks,
Dave
