A nmdemandpoll will update the label on the map with the proper hostname, but does not update the object name in the database. If you want a different object name, you need to remove the object and re-add it back into NetView.
usually a demandpoll will do the job. Oliver
Hi All: Is there any way to have netview (7.1.3 FP1 on Solaris 8) update an object name according to the DNS PTR record if the object is added by loadhosts?. B.
