Don't know about the devices or the MIBs (is Cerent a Cisco brand?) but yes, of course you can add to trapd.conf manually.
Use xnmtrap to do it. All the information you asked for in already in the "no fmt found" message.

Create an enterprise to match what is shown
1.3.6.1.2.1.11
and give it a name. Call it mib-2-snmp if you like, since that's what it represents, or choose your own name

Then add a trap under that enterprise. Like it says, this one is generic:4 specific:0 so this is an authentication failure error from this device
I'm not certain what the two variables they vendor provided indicate, but the first one looks like some kind of date/time stamp, 20041214125033D. To decode the second, an integer of 20, you'd need to examine their MIB.

Is this device in your database? If so, then do an ovobjprint -s <fully-qualified hostname> and you can see what the system oid, vendor, and other properties NetView know about it are. Perhaps that will help you locate the MIB.

[nv-l] No FMT in trapd.conf

Hi all,
I need some help. We are getting these "No FMT in Trapd.conf" as below:

" TEC_ITS_BASE - NO FMT IN TRAPD.CONF: mgmt.mib-2.snmp (1.3.6.1.2.1.11) generic:4 specific:0 args(2): [1] private.enterprises.3607.6.10.100.10.20.0 (OctetString): 20041214125033D [2] enterprises.3607.6.10.20.30.20.1.80.638648832.2120 (Integer): 20 "

Our Network guys say that this is Cerent 15454 device with 2.5 software version and they don't have the software. I have looked into entire Cisco site but unable to get this. Could anyone has the mibs and forward to me please.?

Also can this be manually added in trap config? if so what will be the enterprise id, generic & specific?

We have 7.1.3 FP3 on AIX.

Many Thanks,

Larry.
