Hi John, thanks for the help.
The nodes are really on the seed file. I dont know what you mean with
being in the xnmsnmp?? You mean in the SNMP configuration with polling
time and timeout configuration for those nodes???
I did the restarting of netmon but nothing happened so i deletede from
database and Seems like it didnt rediscovered it. when i do the ovtopofix
It does some changes but then it appears this message:
Lost contact with ovtopmd! Exiting.
So i have to restart ovtopmd and do the ovtopofix -A again. (I only have
one map). But then almost at the same point it does the same, but it seems
like its advancing one by one. This is: fixes one and then exits, have to
restart ovtopmd, do again ovtopofix and fixes the next one before it
crashed the last time and so on.
what could be wrong?

RE: [nv-l] New nodes events appear but not on topology map
verify the devices are defined in the seed file and the xnmxsnmp panel.
Set
the discovery settings to discover new nodes and recyle netmon service.
They
should reappear after forcing netmon to do a rediscovery. If that fails,
delete and reconsice teh deatbases and recycle netmon to force
rediscovery.

Subject: [nv-l] New nodes events appear but not on topology map
Hi, could somebody help me! Im using Netview 7.1.3 on Solaris. I have an
external DB with oracle.
I week ago i deleted accidentally a submap with a bunch of nodes that were
important, i thought netmon would discover them again automatically but
this wasnt so.
I try to add them manually and it says they do exist so i check database
with objprint -s and they are still there but when i added manually they
appear as blue zombies
and seems like they cant be connected again to their network bus, i tried
deleted them again from all submaps and still doesnt WORK
Then i did the ovwdbdmap -d trick i read at the forum and it did was
deleted but its still not rediscovered by netmon. What could be wrrong?
Also ive been watching that new nodes are discovered as New Node added
events in log but they just doesnt appear to be in the topology map. I
have only one map now...well
now because in my desperate hours i deleted the rest to see if this could
help but not. Now i just have one default map.
