Leslie, Offhand, I don't know how nvcorrd determines that value, whether it is passed from trapd or added by nvcorrd upon receipt. I also don't know whether this will help or not, but internally netmon's source id is 2 and vendor is 16. I'd try sending your event with one of those as varbind 1, particularly netmon's id (it's the oldest). As for 14, that is defined for miscellaneous applications, but is only used by the status trap, I believe. 20 is defined as an internal value for "ignore" so I'm guessing it may default to something else, perhaps to demo, which may explain your results.
