Check your hosts file and DNS, NetView is simply doing a gethostbyaddr.

Hi all,

I have a PMR open for this but am trying the list as well. I have inherited a NetView 7.1.4 AIX installation where the OS, NV, TMR, and TEC were mksysb restored from a server originally named ustivux01. This server is named ustivux02. The engineer prior to me uninstalled all Tivoli products and laid down new Framework and NetView. Everything looks fine and NV runs no problem--the NetView icon on the Tivoli desktop shows ustivux02. I know the engineer copied some files (unsure which) from the production NetView server to this one, so I ran reset_ci and then did an ovstart.

In trapd.log the internal NetView UP trap reads

NetView 'ustivux01' UP

When it should reference ustivux02. I thought reset_ci would take care of this--anyone seen this before?

Thanks--
