Denis,
I checked #14185 in trapd.conf. I don't see anything wrong. This line i have not even touched since they were added.
Below is the script i used to load:
/usr/OV/bin/addtrap -l trapMetricGreenToYellow -g 6 -s 6 \
   -n rm -i 1.3.6.1.4.1.3845.3.3.1 \
   -o A  -c "Status Events" -t 0 \
   -S 1  \
-D "This trap indicates that a metric on the server has turned
from green to yellow.  tvGreenToYellowMsg is a string describing
the type of alert and the metric that has turned from green to
yellow."  \
   -e Nvserverd_Event  \
   -F '$E $G $S $# args: $*'
/usr/OV/bin/addtrap -l trapMetricToRed -g 6 -s 8 \
   -n rm -i 1.3.6.1.4.1.3845.3.3.1 \
   -o A  -c "Status Events" -t 0 \
   -S 1  \
-D "This trap indicates that a metric on the server has turned
red.  tvToRedMsg is a string describing the type of alert
and the metric that has turned red."  \
   -e Nvserverd_Event  \
   -F '$E $G $S $# args: $*'

Also my trapd.lrf is as below:
trapd:/usr/OV/bin/trapd:
OVs_YES_START:nvsecd,pmd:-B5000:OVs_WELL_BEHAVED::::
Thanks,
Larry

Hi,

Can you send a copy of your addtrap script?

Edit trapd.conf and check what's wrong at or around line #14185
These messages happen when there's a mistake in a trap entry format.

but something seems strange, as usually the traps are added to
/usr/OV/conf/C/trapd.conf and not /usr/OV/conf/trapd.conf....
What's the content of your /usr/OV/lrf/trapd.lrf file?

Denis

Hello Guys,
When i try to use addtrap script for metaframe traps, i get following error
as below:

End of file in /usr/OV/conf/trapd.conf prematurely reached after SDESC
keyword in line #14185 of /usr/OV/conf/trapd.conf :.

Any ideas what does this mean.. Also traps does not get added after this
error..
Any help is as usual appreciated..
Larry
