My apologies. I did not see it. I get hundreds of email from the different lists I am subscribed to.

I don't get it. You asked this very question on the twelfth and Leslie answered you the next day. On a different thread. Things turn blue for only a few reasons that I can think of:
1) The thing underneath them has been unmanaged 2) The thing underneath them is gone
If, for instance, you were to select a network symbol and unmanage it, you would perhaps inadvertently unmanage all of the equipment under it. All of the other views that those objects appear in would then turn blue. So you might want to drill down and see what the condition of the underlying objects is.
!
Also ke
ep in mind that if you unmanage/manage a bunch of stuff, the status is momentarily set to unknown (managed but no status yet) and if netmon were to fail, that would leave them blue. If it were a whole lot of stuff, netmon might not have caught up yet.
There is also the possibility of massive corruption, but I'm sure you have a good backup from a few days ago, right?

Good morning all-
Day before yesterday, got a call from our NOC that objec!

Netveiew version 7.1.3 on AIX 5.1
Any suggestions?
Thanx.

So what kind of objects are blue? Interfaces, nodes, networks, smartsets, what? Are their lower-level objects unmanaged? Has their IP address changed, NICs removed, or something? Can you ping and snmpwalk them from the command line? If you do ovobjprint, what do you find for them in the database? I don't follow what you are asking when you are asking about a safe path. This is just investigation, not alteration. First you have to figure out what happened ansd why it happened before you can fix it.

| Good evening people-
Something strange has occurred in my environment. Multiple objects and links have gone 'blue' (unknown status?) and I am trying to get to the root of the problem. I'm suspecting some network changes somewhere, but wanted to have a safe path to follow.
