I don't work with the web client much, but my colleagues tell me that you don't need to download anything to use the web client in a browser.

You can login through the web browser via http://NetViewServerHostname:8080/netview/NetViewApplet/
You can also install nvwcinstall.exe file from http://NetViewServerHostname:8080/download/ directory using the browser if you like.

[NV-L] web client via browser - what to download


Used to be, if you really wanted to use the java client through your web browser, you could download some jar file or other and do something to the class path on the PC and it would work a lot better. Not as well as the standalone app, but better. I no longer have any notes on this topic and I wonder if anyone else is doing this and can remind me.
