Hi John, Yes, I've installed NV at E:\. I'll run the nvCollConfig.bat again and see what happens. The SNMPDATA database exists, it was created by the installation process. What's happening also, and it is probably related, is that the nvpollerd daemon is not running and its log file shows a message saying that it cannot connect to the database. The tdwdaemon connects fine with DB2, so I guess that this is not a DB2 problem. If so, your nvcollector configuration may not be correct. The solution is to open a command prompt, make your NetView disk the current disk, and then run the nvCollConfig.bat utility again. It is probably a good idea to switch to snmpCollect first and then back to nvcollectord.

Hi list, I've installed NV 7.1.5 on a Windows 2003 Server SE box and selected the nvcollectord option from the installation wizard. The installation was ok and the product is working fine. However, the predefined Expressions that are supposed to appear when you are configuring a SNMP collection are not showing.......the _expression_ window remains empty no matter which Smartset you select. Any help is appreciated. Thank you. Mario It's here! Your new message! Get new email alerts with the free Yahoo!
