Also, when you enable tracing for nvserverd, any events that are set to log only, or do not display or log, will not hit nvserverd at all. But you should see startup messages for nvserverd in that log. If there is a problem contacting the TEC, it will show there. Also, I'm not sure what that LCF is in there for. If you are using the nvserverd adapter, you should not need that, I don't think. Also, the location of TEC caching is different depending on your version. You can specifiy that path in tecint.conf in BufEvtPath Here's one I've used. ServerLocation=hostname1.yourdomain.com,hostname2.yourdomain.com TecRuleName=TEC_ITS.rs ServerPort=0 DefaultEventClass=TEC_ITS_BASE BufferEvents=YES UseStateCorrelation=YES StateCorrelationConfigURL=file:///usr/OV/conf/nvsbcrule.xml ## The following four lines are for debugging the state correlation engine # LogLevel=ALL # TraceLevel=ALL # LogFileName=/usr/OV/log/adptlog.out # TraceFileName=/usr/OV/log/adpttrc.out ## The following three lines alter nvserverd default behavior NvserverdTraceTecEvents=YES # NvserverdPrimeTecEvents=NO NvserverdSendSeverityTecEvents=YES Cordially, Leslie A. I am also getting the pop up error on my GUI that nvevents server daemon is unable to connect to nvserverd and that I should start nvserverd daemon. But the nvserverd daemon is running when I check with ovstatus. Restarting it also did not help.
I uncommented # NvserverdTraceTecEvents=YES in the tecint.conf but see nothing being written in nvserverd.log.
Also, my /usr/OV/app-defaults/Nvevents is same as the as-shipped version.

Hi,
I do not see any events in my Netview Events workspace although I see them in /usr/OV/log/trapd.log as well as in Event History.
The events are not being forwarded to TEC either. The tecint.conf looks ok and TEC server is fine.
Tecint.conf :
ServerLocation=@EventServer TecRuleName=Prod.rs ServerPort=0 DefaultEventClass=TEC_ITS_BASE Type=LCF BufferEvents=YES UseStateCorrelation=YES StateCorrelationConfigURL=file:///usr/OV/conf/nvsbcrule.xml ## The following four lines are for debugging the state correlation engine # LogLevel=ALL # TraceLevel=ALL # LogFileName=/usr/OV/log/adptlog.out # TraceFileName=/usr/OV/log/adpttrc.out ## The following three lines alter nvserverd default behavior # NvserverdTraceTecEvents=YES # NvserverdPrimeTecEvents=NO # NvserverdSendSeverityTecEvents=YES ## LCFINSTANCE=1
Any idea what else should I check?
