Thanks for your reply. These nodes can be managed/unmanaged in the usual manner. The object properties appears to be normal. Demand poll is not available as only ping is enabled in the test menu. The nodes can be pinged from there or from a command line. snmp is not available on these nodes. I'm running Netview 7.1.4 on Windows. We have some remote nodes connected via VPN. Netview discovers them and can ping them but their status is always 'unknown' How can I get the status to update correctly? Thanks, Bob Rumsey
