In the original HP design, which we inherited, Manage and Unmange are GUI functions. Witness for example this comment from the NetView Programmer's Reference under OVwSetStatusonObject: "The value ovwUnmanagedStatus is not valid and cannot be used to unmanage an object; unmanaging objects is solely under end user control." So there is no CLI ofr this function because there is no documented API for this function either, as things stand. Now, I have been told that HP has since changed this, but they did not do so in any code they shared with us. So it is not currently a part of the NetView product.
