I don't think demand poll works if the object hasn't been discovered.

Try a "ovmapcount -av ; ovtopofix -Av".

Check for duplicate IP addresses for ALL the interfaces on the node you are
trying to discover.  (Menu: "Locate -> By Object Attribute -> IP Address"
for EACH interface on the node you are trying to discover.

Check to make sure any names in DNS or /etc/hosts aren't in conflict.
