NetView5.1 & AIX: problem by adding Users

Hi all,

we have NetView5.1 on AIX3.2
I can not add a user or change password of user, after starting NetView:


bash-2.01# passwd a068
Changing password for "a068"
a068's New password:
Re-enter a068's new password:
An error occured updating the password database.


and the same error for adding user ( An error occured updating the user
database )

to add User and change Password is only after restarting AIX ( and bevor
starting NetView) possible.
