On an AIX host, edit the /etc/snmpd.conf file and add entries for every community string that you might want to do an "snmp getinfo" on. Remember to issue a "refresh -s snmpd" for the changes to take effect. Recall that for Netview to recognize a community string, it must be defined via the GUI Options -> SNMP configuration but there is a limitation, I believe, on the community strings defined to it. |
