Simple doubt about ATM networks and Netview

        Hi everybody.

        What kind of things will Netview be able to tell me about an ATM switch
WITHOUT the specific switch management software (Foreview on a ForeSystem
switch for example)? 

        It seems to me that those devices have an SNMP agent with basic SNMP
information so netview should be able to put the device on the map
(OID_TO_TYPE etc. with the correct OID).

        But I will need to use an specific management software to collect
information like cells received, cells transmited and rejected cells.

        Can you confirm this for me?
