Hi,

This is the platform where I'm working:

AIX 4.3.1
Netview 5.1 (No patches Installed)
FrameWork 3.6

The problem is the following:

My client has a very big Network that uses Static Routes to avoid heavy routing
traffic. The most Interesting is that this client uses static routes oriented
to Interface (eg: Serial 0) and not to IP address. We know that is posible and
It works. I mean, there isn't conectivity problems.

The question is that in the IP MAP these routers appears disconnected.
The netview can poll the devices, but there is no way to see these routes
connected.
I've got the following information:

When execute "rnetstat" (to get route table form a device), the static routes
oriented to a interface, the next hop field appears wtih the address 0.0.0.0
(or 0). I seems that Netview doesn't know how to connect these devices because
there is no way to connect them.
One more detail, the interfeces are unnumbered, but the unnumbered option is
acivated for netmon daemon.
If you activate a routing protocol (RIP) on the same network, the map is draw
in the right way.

Anybody hears about that ?

Thanks in advancce.

 Adrian
