You cannot view submaps on the Web if ovw with a map in "read-write" mode is
not available.

ok.. i checked for the error_log.log but there is no such file. I had one
earlier i know, because i checked it =).. and there where no errors in it.
I started an extra user interface as root and tried again but no luck, same
error.

If the web server applications are running, check the web server error log
to see whether messages have been generated by the web interface programs.
These messages should be in the /usr/OV/Web/httpd/logs/error_log.
What I meant is when a web client can't see the submaps and gets the same
message below, it's because there isn't a Netview's user interface running
from the root.

What do you mean with the web server is off? not started? because i started
it and i can web to it and all..
Do i have to have a user interface running in order to have a working web
interface? This interface can be on any machine?
I tried with a user interface now to and I get the same error. There is
something that bothers me, i don't have to login to the web-server shouldn't
i get a username/password windows when pressing ENTER?
