Steve,
Are you running any other software that might be listing to snmp-trap port
162? Like Optivity?
Check the /etc/services file, what is port in nvtrapd-trap udp and tcp set
to? is it 162?

James,
I tried opening another event window (dynamic) and no luck. I tried
changing some of the events to (N netmon) and no luck there either. After
future investigation it looks like I am not receiving traps from any
devices.
When I made a reference to, only events with - N (Netmon) are displaying,
it
dawned on me, and correct me if I am wrong, these messages are coming from
NETMON polling devices (outbound). Does anyone have any other ideas?

OK, so you have events listed in the trapd.log that don't show in an events
window. Do any events show or just a select few are not displayed? If it
is a few, then use xnmtrap to start the GUI for customizing events, find
those events, and see whether they are listed as "Log Only". If they are,
then change them to another type.

Hello,
I have an issue with SNMP events not displaying in Netview Events
window
and I do not know what I did that made to happen. I've checked
SYSLOG.LOG,
NMSLOG, and trapd.log and the messages are there. Anyone have any ideas
where I can look. Thanks
