The previous suggestions I got about using the netscape enterprise server mib with my netview helped me move in the right direction. I now know that the netscape subagent is working correctly and sending messages. So Im thinking the problem is with the snmpd.conf and the snmpd.peers files on the target machine. However according to the netscape manual: For example, you might add this line to the snmpd.conf: smux 1.3.6.1.4.1.1.1450.1 "" IP_address net_mask If you need more information, see your related system documentation for details. And that is the extent of their manuals help on using their server with AIX. Is there anything besides these two files that could need to be configured on the target machine? Steven |
