Hi Todd I do not believe you can install the SNMP adapter on the Netview system. We tried it and it does not work because they are both wanting to listen to the same port for SNMP messages. You want to use the Netview TEC Adapter, tecad_nv6k, to get events from NetView to TEC. The SNMP adapter could be used if you do not have an SNMP manager, but I think it would be a lot more work. HTH dug PS we are using NT for everything I'm alittle confused, Can the TEC SNMP adapter be installed on the netview server to forward snmp events to TEC or does it get installed on TEC? |
