Or, could you set up a cron job to adjust the netmon polling interval for
those specific devices to something like 12h or so? And then, when daytime
comes, adjust them back to normal?

Maybe try using a seed file and don't add the devices on the other
site of the ISDN line. Netview will not poll across ..

         Can't think of another option!

What you are looking for doesn't exist.  There are no command line utilities to
chnage an object from managed to unmanaged.

Perhaps some other user with ISDN lines will respond with how they handle them.

    Hi!

Since we are using an ISDN-line, which we do not want to be open during
non-working hours (telephone charges here is high!), we want to be able to stop
Netview from polling those devices on the other end of the link between say
16hrs and 8hrs. Is it possible to switch the status of specific nodes in the
database from managed to unmanaged and v.v. from the commandline or a script ?

The manuals are almost entirely describing GUI commands, and I can't find that
any of the provided utilities (in /usr/OV/bin) are up to the job.

Sorry if this is a FAQ, but since I can't find an answer anywhere...!
