Perhaps Ken Garst, who responded yesterday about what he did, will answer here,
since as I said, I have not done this.
But (1) as long as you have /usr/OV/ on some filesystem accessible for NetView,
then you should be able to delete the one on the local disk with no problems. I
have no idea about (2). Why not just try it and see? You are going to have to
test this anyway.

Thiks for your answer, it is more clear now, I have not try yet. Our first
stage is migrate NetView from
V4 -> V5.
I also read the NetView release notes V5.1, there is some doubts:
1. Let's said we have A & B machine, We install the A first & put /usr/OV
in shared disk, then
we install the B & just delete /usr/OV from B local disk?
2. HACMP can set export file list, do we need to put in
startnetview.script?
