Yes, I should have made it clear that from the command line you can start the
mib browser, xnmloadmib, from the command line with the -mibDir <directory>
option and that will do what you want, but that option is not available if you
start the application from the Options pull-down on the menu. A better solution
would be to have a place to specify the directory on the Load panel, and there
isn't one. There are even more options shown in the man page if you want to
use the command line, though most of them are for non-interactive mode.

The only "help" I can offer is that to say that this is how it works. There
is
no way to alter the default directory in the MIB loader/browser. Nice
enhancement if they ever get around to it. Send a note to
netview@tivoli.com
and tell them how much you want it .
