The MibExpr.conf is not an operating system file, it belongs to Netview. You can
find it in /usr/OV/conf.
MibExpr.conf is used to do calculations on collected MIB data before displaying
it in a graph.
An example:
The standard MIB-2 doesn´t contain percentage values for link utilization, and
if you want to display your collected data as a percentage value, you need to do
some calculations, before displaying the data in a graph, for instance.
These calculations can be done via MibExpr.conf. If you take a peek into the
MibExpr.conf on your system, you will see a few examples, to which you can add
your own expressions.
If you define a new data Collection, you can select whether yo want to use a MIB
object, or an Expression. By selection Expression, you can then use the
expressions defined in MibExpr.conf in you data Collections.
Hope this helps.
