Since you have everything working, I recommend doing a migration
re-install. I assume
you are on V5.1 Do the migration backup as documented in the release notes.
This makes
a filesystem /usr/OV.back.v5r1 which contains everything it takes to make
it just like it is
now. The instructions then tell you to de-install Netview using the menu
options. Then
you would clean off Tivoli thoroughly, and, from your new TMR server,
create the new
managed node on the Netview server box. And from the TMR server, proceed as
if
you were doing a new install - that is, install the Framework patch on the
TMR server
and on the managed node, define the resource NetviewServer, and create the
Netview
server resource. This is the actual re-install of Netview, but it will
notice that backup
directory and re-create all of your customization including your database.
If you follow
the instructions in the release notes, rather than attempt a hack, you will
end up with
everything working again.

Q-
I had the tivoli TMR and framework install on an Ultra-10 with
netview
installed also. The TMR was removed/disabled and converted to a
managed
node of another TMR at a remote site. Well since this broke some of
the functionality of the netview stuff (because, I lost admin rights
to
the TMR) I now have to put the TMR & framework stuff back.
1) Will I be able to install the framework and make my server
a TMR again without uninstalling the netview software?
2) Do you recommend just dumping the entire /usr/OV from
tape and letting the discover daemon play catch-up?
Basically I dont want to uninstall netview since I have everything working.
