Agreed. I do not backup just the databases, but do backup /usr/OV/conf,
registration, lrf, and a couple of others daily. I just have /usr/OV/databases
mounted on a seperate filesystem than /usr/OV as a precaution, so to me it's two
seperate backups

I do backups like that too, and addition I
copy over /usr/OV/conf and all of the subdirectories
using cpio, just in case I had made some configuration
file changes.
