Are you on NT or on AIX, Paul? I have not investigated this lately, but
I'm pretty sure that on AIX you can specify different instances on
different
nodes. The expression mib entries end in dots, and you add the instances
in the dialog (or by manually editing the snmpCol.trace file. FYI, you can
also
copy mib expressions, give them different names, and reuse them in those
situations where you cannot use the same one over.

Subject: [NV-L] Netview mibExpr.conf and MIB instance question
I am using some of the standard MIB expressions which are included in the
Netview mibExpr.conf file. I desire to specify different MIB instances on
different devices using the same MIB expression.
It appears that the GUI interface only provides for instances to be setup
one time for any given MIB expression. Is there some other means to achieve
my desired goal?
Thank You
Paul Maine
